Vitality will take on Complexity in the opening match of PGL Major Antwerp 2022

Valve just revealed the opening schedule for the Challengers stage of PGL Major Antwerp 2022, which is set to begin on 9 May with a potential action-packed match between Team Vitality and Complexity. We have some interesting matchups for the first stage as G2 and Astralis will be in the arena to secure their spot at the Legends stage, while several underdogs such as Eternal Fire will join the fight without fear.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 is set to play between 9-22 May. The first major of the year will take place in Antwerp, Belgium. Sixteen teams that have been successful in the regional qualifiers will compete in the Challengers Stage, where top 8 teams will advance to the Legends stage. Matches will be bo1 in the Challengers, except elimination and advancement matches. Here are all the matchups for the first stage of PGL Major Antwerp 2022:

For the first time since 2018, a Turkish team managed to qualify for a major CS:GO tournament. Eternal Fire will represent their region with firm conviction, and their way to PGL Major Antwerp was quite arduous. After taking down Fnatic and Dignitas in RMR, Eternal Fire overwhelmed OG in the do-or-die series, and deservedly got their ticket to Belgium.

Vitality and G2 will fight against Complexity and Team Liquid

Team Vitality will meet Complexity in the opening match of the tournament, while Astralis will clash with IHC Esports to make a good start to their Major run. ENCE, the European team that left its mark on ESL Pro League Season 15 by reaching the grand finals, will make its Major debut against 9z Team. On the flip side, forZe is scheduled to play against the Oceanian representative, Renegades, while Outsiders will take on MIBR in the closing match of the first day.
