| | , , , ,

OverBorder Studio has announced that its highly expected action role-playing game, Thymesia, will be released on August 9 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. Thymesia will come out for only next-gen consoles, so if you don’t have one of them, you need to play the game on PC via Steam. The developer also released a brand new trailer which you can find below.

Players can now add the demo version of Thymesia to their library on Steam. OverBorder announced that this demo version that gives players a preview of Thymesia, will be available between 3-9 May on the game’s Steam page. If you are one of those who wants to experience Thymesia before its initial release date, download the demo version without wasting time.

Thymesia is an action RPG with a gloomy and dark theme that immerses players in a horrifying realm. Players will take on the role of “Convus” who is dedicated to cleaning up this rotten world. Thymesia has some similar gameplay mechanics to those in souls-like games. Fast-paced combat system will be characteristic of the game. According to the developer, dodging and parrying will be important to survive in boss fights and skirmishes. As a distinct feature that we are not used to, in Thymesia, players will be able to seize diseases from their enemies and use them as a weapon.

It is safe to say that Thymesia will feature unique mechanics that can attract players to the game. However, you should keep your expectations low, given that Thymesia will be OverBorder’s first game.
