Week 3 of the 2022 LCS Summer is well underway with plenty of hectic match-ups that locked the fans on the screen. As the competition heats up for the top place, every single match takes a crucial role in the standings. The defending champion, Evil Geniuses, secured another perfect week to stand at the top alone, while 100 Thieves climbed up the ranks with two successive wins over Team Liquid and Immortals. Here are all the results for week 3 of the regular season:
Day 1
- TSM 0 – 1 Evil Geniuses
- FlyQuest 1 – 0 Dignitas
- 100 Thieves 1 – 0 Team Liquid
- Golden Guardians 1 – 0 Immortals
- Counter Logic Gaming 0 – 1 Cloud9
Day 2
- Dignitas 1 – 0 TSM
- Evil Geniuses 1 – 0 Golden Guardians
- FlyQuest 1 – 0 Cloud9
- Team Liquid 1 – 0 Counter Logic Gaming
- 100 Thieves 1 – 0 Immortals
100 Thieves recuperated well in the third week, having been defeated by Cloud9 in their latest match. Making a statement against Team Liquid intimidated Evil Geniuses for the coming weeks. It is also controversial how Team Liquid good at this stage, however; 100 Thieves found a way to close the gap between EG.
Evil Geniuses remained on the top of the standings
Speaking of Evil Geniuses, they captured the second perfect week with clean wins over TSM and Golden Guardians. After losing to CLG in the previous week, Evil Geniuses could not let any surprise to protect their throne. The defending champion is now moving towards a tough schedule in which 100T, TL, and CLG are set to take their revenge on them. Three of their upcoming four matches will determine who gets first place.
Cloud9 are back on the brink of the super week due to their choppy performance against Immortals. They still need to stabilize their performance to be a contender for the title. In the playoff stage, this lack of uniformity can get them into trouble. Immortals, on the other hand, secured their first win in the summer but it looks like they can not make it to the playoffs. Although eight teams clinch their spot in the playoffs in the LCS, they will likely be out of the competition along with TSM.
Week 4 of the LCS 2022 Summer will start on Saturday, July 16 with the matchup between 100 Thieves and FlyQuest. You can watch all the games mentioned above on the official LCS YouTube channel.
