Intel Grand Slam Season 4 is set to continue with IEM Cologne 2022, which will feature the best CS: GO teams around the world. Start date
IEM Cologne 2022 is scheduled to begin on July 5 with the play-in stage. The fifth tournament of the season will last twelve days, and it will be completed on July 17. IEM Cologne 2022 will take place in Lanxess-Arena, Germany. Tickets are now available on the official ESL website. You can also find the sketch of the seating arrangement and FAQS from there. Note that only +16 can enter the event.
Format
IEM Cologne 2022 was divided into three stages like the previous ones. 16 teams will compete in the play-in stage to qualify for the groups. Matches will be bo3 in the play-in stage. Top eight teams from eliminations will be split into two groups.
The group stage, where the best 16 teams will battle it out in a double-elimination format (GSL), will take place between July 7 to 10. Each group will have eight members, and top three teams from the groups will advance to the playoff stage. All matches will be bo3 during the second phase.
It will be important where these teams will complete their groups. According to the official format, group stage winners will directly qualify for the semifinals, while runner-ups will start the quarterfinals as high seed. We will have two semifinal teams at the end of the group stage.
IEM Cologne 2022 will come to an end with a three-days playoff competition. Top six teams from the groups will meet in a single-elimination bracket to reach the title. The quarters and semifinals will be bo5, while the grand finals will be bo5.
Prize Pool
1.000.000$ will be spread among 24 teams with different amounts. The winner of IEM Cologne 2022 will put 400.000 in their pocket alongside 3200 BLAST Premier circuit points.

ESL revealed the full list of teams participating in IEM Cologne 2022. 24 teams will embark on Germany to prove themselves as the best CS:GO team in the world. 8 among them, including the IEM Dallas 2022 finalists Cloud9 and ENCE, were directly qualified for the group stage thanks to their circuit points.
