The teaser trailer for the much anticipated Thor: Love and Thunder finally released. Thor: Love and Thunder is the fourth Thor film, after Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017). Marvel Studios shared the latest film’s teaser and it is amazing.
Going to the teaser
The film is directed by Taika Waititi, and stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, alongside Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman as a new Thor, Christian Bale as the Villain “Gorr the God Butcher“. This is along with the returning cast for The Guardians of the galaxy which follows up from the ending of Avengers: Endgame.
The Trailers shows Thor who is essentially done with being a super hero or even a god. Someone who is just moving through the cosmos. As he hags out with his new friends, The guardians of the galaxy. All of this looks really fun of someone who is completely done with their role and growing kind of old.
The trailer mostly focussing upon that on how Thor is more or less completely done. It would be interesting to see how he will deal with that. It fast forwards and shows flashes to his past life as a God through time. So, The ending of the trailer revels Jane foster as Thor which will be an interesting dynamic to see. After all her character was wasted in the previous movies. Intriguingly enough, The Hammer seems to have cracks in it indicating that it can the one which was destroyed at the at start of Thor: Ragnarok. How far her origins for the comics is discussed along with the aspect of her dying of cancer is yet to seen.
Anyways the trailer makes the movie look fun and i am interested to see how it turns out. Thor: Love and Thunder is scheduled to be released on July 8, 2022, as part of Phase Four of the MCU.
