LCS 2022 Summer – Week 4 Preview

| | ,

Week 4 of the League Championship Series is set to begin on June 16 with pivotal match-ups between top teams that can define the course of the regular season. Before taking a one-week hiatus from the league, the defending champion, Evil Geniuses, maintained their place at the top of the standings as 100 Thieves closed the gap with two consecutive wins over Team Liquid and Immortals. Counter Logic Gaming, on the other hand, moved behind fourth place due to their shaky performance against Cloud9 and Team Liquid last week.

Here is the full schedule for week 4 of the 2022 LCS Summer

Day 1

  • 100 Thieves vs Fly Quest
  • Dignitas vs Evil Geniuses
  • TSM vs Cloud9
  • Immortals vs Counter Logic Gaming
  • Team Liquid vs Golden Guardians

Day 2

  • Fly Quest vs TSM
  • Counter Logic Gaming vs 100 Thieves
  • Evil Geniuses vs Team Liquid
  • Cloud9 vs Immortals
  • Golden Guardians vs Dignitas

There is a fierce battle between mid-ranked teams to secure their spot in the playoffs. Cloud9 have been struggling to solve their problems after role swaps in the team. They could not find an ideal strategy to integrate Zven into the team as support. Also, Jensen still needs to adapt to his new teammates though he has done it many times before in his long career. TSM, on the flip side, will likely be out of the playoffs, given their appearance in the previous weeks.

Week 4 of the summer will kick off with a trouble-free game for 100 Thieves against Fly Quest. The former champion looked better on week 3 compared to the first weeks. Especially their dominant performance against Team Liquid reminded 100 Thieves are still a contender for the title. Closer and his dreadful gang will go up against Counter Logic Gaming in their second match.

Evil Geniuses will seek for another perfect week

Evil Geniuses established their kingdom, having dismantled TSM and GG on week 3. One thing to mention about them is Evil Geniuses returned to the NA in better shape after their drastic MSI journey. It looks like playing against top-tier teams helped EG improve themselves. Given that the organization retained its starting roster, there is no reason why EG won’t hoist the trophy again.

The reigning champion will take on Dignitas before going up against Team Liquid. Fans will see who will trip Evil Geniuses to break the devil’s leg. Otherwise, EG can make a statement with another perfect week.

Golden Guardians and Dignitas will face off each other in the closing match of week 4 to save themselves from the bottom place. You can watch all the games mentioned below on the official LCS Twitch channel.
