It looks as though a slew of role-playing games will pour down on us in the coming months as publisher Square Enix has announced that its strategy RPG called The DioField Chronicle will release on September 22 for Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam. Moreover, the publisher revealed that a demo version of the game will launch on August 10. Players can hope this demo gives a superficial look at what to expect from its story, RPG elements, and cutting-edge graphics.
The DioField Chronicles joined the long list of RPG games hitting the planned platforms this year. The list of games includes Airoheart, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Tower of Fantasy, Harvestella, and Star Ocean: The Divine Force as you can find more details on them by clicking links. Players can now add The DioField Chronicle to their wishlist on Steam to get notified of the new announcements regarding its demo version and launch date. According to the developer team, the demo version will include the first chapter of the story to give a little taste of its gripping story.
The DioField Chronicle is a strategy-based RPG with plenty of action and adventure elements set in an enchanting world that blends the best aspects of medieval and modern ages. As its description depicts, the upcoming single-player RTTB (Real Time Tactical Battle) game will aim to differentiate itself from its counterparts by offering a rarely seen combat system, allowing you to design which ways you will use to kill your foes.
Lancarse will take a crucial role on the development
Being developed by Lancarse, the studio that was best known for its excellent work on Monark and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, The DioField Chronicle will provide an immersive story that revolves around eight playable characters. Players can take the role of Andrias, Fredret, Iscarion, Waltaquin, Izelair, Lorraine, Hezeliah, and William to carve their names on the story. As you can expect from an RPG title, you will need to interact with the others to develop your character in the way you set.
Lancarse dropped several in-game screenshots that look promising for their graphics and art style. Additionally, the dev team released a one-hour gameplay video which you can find below. The DioField Chronicle will come out on September 22 for Xbox, PS, and Switch consoles along with the PC platform. Check out our gaming section to find more news regarding the upcoming RPGs.
