Focus Home Interactive has announced that A Plague Tale: Requiem will launch on October 18th for Xbox Series, PS5, Switch, and PC via Steam. In order to celebrate the announcement, developer Asobo Studio released a 12-minute of new extended gameplay trailer showing off the game’s stunning textures and stealth mechanics. Additionally, A Plague Tale: Requiem will support Ray Tracing effects and DLSS, an image enhancement technology developed by NVIDIA for its RTX line of graphics cards. The highly anticipated action game will be available on Xbox Game Pass at launch. You can also pre-order A Plague Tale: Requiem from its official Steam page.

A Plague Tale: Requiem is an action-adventure, direct sequel to the previous game, A Plague Tale: Innocence, released back in 2019. Players will try to save the protagonist’s brother from dying because of a supernatural curse. According to the dev team, A Plague Tale: Requiem will take place after years of the events of the previous title. Amicia and Hugo travel to the south together to find themselves a new home, where destruction and tyranny can not reach. As the story progress, Amicia and her brother will have to overcome dangerous threats while searching for a cure to break the curse.

Embark on a new journey with your brother Hugo

Stealth was the main focus of the new gameplay trailer shared by developers. You won’t have to kill all the enemies to finish a chapter as understood. However, your timing must be perfect, considering the number of enemies in the venues shown in the trailer is not at all low. Players also will be able to use rats as a weapon when needed. What saving Hugo from the curse will cost Amicia is making its story more emotional and immersive.

There is also talk of an island, holding the cure for Hugo. Amicia will likely make new allies to reach the island as the story comes to an end. A Plague Tale: Requiem will provide a delightful, smooth experience while its wonderful-looking world will take you to mysterious locations to discover. We will see if the two protagonists will survive this drastic and tedious journey at the very end.

A Plague Tale: Requiem will utilize the hardware improvements of next-generation consoles to make graphics more eye-catching. Textures and colors also look amazing at this stage. There are still four months left to the launch of A Plaque Tale: Requiem. So Asobo Studio will have enough time to make the final polishes. You can pre-order the game on Steam for $59.99 to get the Protector Pack DLC, featuring exclusive crossbow skin, new cosmetics for Amicia, and extra crafting materials.
