Frost Giant Studios announced its new strategy game, Stormgate, at the 2022 Summer Game Fest event. Including veteran developers from the World of Warcraft and Starcraft franchises, Forest Giant Studios is planning to launch the beta phase for Stormgate in mid-2023. The upcoming RTS will be developed in Unreal Engine 5 to deliver the best experience to PC players. Stormgate will not make its way to consoles, as the developer company stated.
Stormgate is a free-to-play, real-time strategy set in a war between humanity and demonic invaders. Players will be able to customize their army and team up with their friends to complete missions. Stormgate will have an ever-expanding universe that blends sci-fi and fantasy. Players will also be able to set up their own tournaments, participate in different events and show off their tactical skills in a competitive 1v1 mode to climb up the ladder. In this game, you can craft your missions and mini-games by using user-friendly editor. Enjoying the game while embarking on new adventures with your teammates is entirely up to your creativity. You can add Stormgate to your wish list from its Steam page.
No release date has yet been given for Stormgate, but it can be expected to come out in late 2023 after Frost Giant makes final polishes based on the feedback. According to the game’s official website, Unreal Engine 5 is being used by developers to build maps and game modes. You can find the announcement cinematic trailer below.
