Electronic Arts has announced that the next installment of the Star Wars series, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, will come out in 2023 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and PC. In order the celebrate this announcement, Electronic Arts released the official teaser trailer showing Cal Kestis embarking on a new adventure to protect the Jedi’s legacy while running away from the tyranny of the Empire.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be the sequel to the previous title, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was first released in 2019. Fallen Order was highly appreciated by players thanks to its RPG elements, amazing combat experience, and immersive story. The game collected 79 points on MetaCritic and was considered one of the best products of the year. According to Electronic Arts, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will take this wonderful experience one step further on next-gen consoles. The highly anticipated action-adventure game will have a darker theme compared to Fallen Order as things get serious.
SWJ: Survivor will be developed by Respawn Entertainment to maintain the high standard set by Fallen Order. The game will take place five years after the events of the first game, and its enveloping story will focus on the survival of one of the last remaining Jedi in the universe. Cal Kestis will be the protagonist of the scenario, as we can see from the trailer. Who will accompany him on this drastic journey? Electronic Arts has not shared any additional details on Jedi: Survivor, and it is unknown what month the upcoming title will be released in 2023.
