Only one week left to the playoff stage of the 2022 Valorant Champions Tour: Europe, Middle East and Africa. G2, Guild, and Fnatic have already secured their playoff spot, but the competition is not over in group B yet. FunPlus Phoenix, NAVI, Team Liquid, Gambit, and LDNU will battle it out to put the playoff ticket in their pocket.
The European representative, BIG, who took part in an international Valorant tournament for the first time in the organization’s history, has mathematically knocked out from the VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers. However, their remaining match against Gambit could be decisive for the final standings.
All teams that will play in the playoff stage will be determined at the end of week 6. Gambit, one of the most accomplished Valorant teams of 2021, may not make it to the next stage like Acend, who was expected to be another favorite.
The full schedule for week 6 of the VCT 2022: EMEA Stage 1 Challengers is as follows:
FunPlus Phoenix stands in first place with 3-1, and Team Liquid is trailing them behind with 3-2. Keep in mind that Team Liquid completed all their group matches before week 6, unlike Gambit. The CIS representative will have two series to play against NAVI and LDNU, and this gives Gambit an advantage over Team Liquid. If they win both of their remaining matches, Gambit will advance to the playoff stage, regardless of the other results.
NAVI and LDNU tied in fourth place with 2-2, and both teams have only one remaining match. LDNU will play against Gambit in the closing series of the group stage, while NAVI will try its chance against FunPlus Phoenix. Gambit must lose at least one game for either team to make it playoffs.
The second day of week 6 will return with a potential jaw-dropping series between BIG and Gambit. You can catch all the action from Riot’s official Twitch channel.
