LCS 2022 Spring: Week 6 Recap

League Championship Series is more competitive than ever as Cloud9, 100 Thieves, and Team Liquid have been battling it out for the leadership for weeks. C9 and TL tied in first place at the end of the previous week, but week 6 saw Cloud9 take the lead by defeating the North American super team.

March 13

The most anticipated match of week 6 started with Cloud9 taking control of the map in the early stage of the game over Blaber. While Blaber slaying neutral objectives one and another, Summit established his kingdom on the top side against Bwipo. He was selected player of the week with an outstanding 5/2 Tryndamere performance that led his team to victory. Although there was no noticeable gold difference between the two teams, Cloud9 were on the driver seat from start to finish and destroyed Team Liquid’s nexus at 32 minutes.

100 Thieves followed them with two clean wins over Golden Guardians and FlyQuest. After having a controversial week, the defending champion needed successive wins to keep ties with the top. All they have to do is show the same performance against elite teams such as C9 and TL. 100 Thieves tied in third place with 8-5 ahead of Dignitas.

Counter Logic Gaming excited the fans

Counter Logic Gaming had a flawless week contrary to expectations. Luger has been playing like the oldest member of CLG since the start of the regular season, and he is finally rewarded. Turkish clutch player led his team to victory against FlyQuest with Kai’Sa ap build. Doublelift explained his thoughts on Luger after CLG’s astonishing performance on week 6:
