Despite going gold, Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed. It will now be releasing on December 10th 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Stadia. Cyberpunk 2077 will also be playable via backwards compatibility on Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.
The news of the delayed was announced via a tweet on the games official Twitter account.
CD Projekt Red has stated that the difficulty of getting the game running smoothly on multiple current-gen and next-gen systems as well as a streaming platform and PC, while working from home due to the Covid-19 pandemic as the reasoning for the game’s delay.
This news also comes after a Night City Wire livestream which delved into the vehicles you will be driving, riding and stealing and the fashion you will be rocking when we finally get our hands on the upcoming RPG.
It’s also worth noting that full-blown enhanced Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 versions of Cyberpunk 2077 have been announced. And will be released after the current-gen versions. Though we have no release date for them as of yet.
