Blizzard Entertainment has announced at the Xbox&Bethesda Showcase that Diablo IV will release in 2023 for Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS4, PS5, and PC platforms. Arguably the most popular gaming franchise of the last 20 years will be back in the stores with a graphically new-looking Diablo IV. The developer also released a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming RPG, which gives us some indications of what to expect from Diablo IV. As a solid fan of this series, I am really excited to play the game with its PoE-looking graphics after having a horrible experience with Diablo Immortal. Note that Diablo IV will not make its way to Game Pass and will have cosmetic micro-transactions.
Necromancer was officially announced as the fifth class
Diablo IV gets a new cinematic trailer that focused on the fifth playable class of the game, Necromancer. When you first started watching the trailer, you may have not realized that it belongs to a Diablo game. Actually, the new gameplay trailer fired up the players as they met the game’s better animations and new camera system that allows players to zoom out. These two main factors will specialize your experience compared to its previous installments. Diablo IV will not feature an offline mode, and according to leaks, Blizzard will enable cross-play support between all platforms.
Diablo IV will be an open world game
To sum it up for those who will meet with the Diablo series for the first time, Diablo IV is an action RPG that features procedurally generated nightmarish dungeons, an amusing combat system, and character-building. As a new feature of the series, Diablo IV will be an open-world game, and PVP interactions will be incorporated. All playable classes include Barbarian, Rogue, Druid, Sorceress, and Necromancer. Players will be able to customize their characters as they want. According to the game’s description players must choose their equipments, talents, and abilities wisely to fight against the wave of demons.
Diablo IV was first announced at BlizzCon 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4. In June 2022, Blizzard announced that Diablo IV will come out next year. After much speculations about the development process of the game, Blizzard reiterated that Diablo IV is still set for a 2023 launch. You can find the new gameplay trailer below. Have fun!
