PC Requirements for the games
This list will combine some of our best picks, but before we head to the actual list, we are going to set some ground rules about the hardware you are going to need for those games. Since this is a list of games that are meant especially for computers and laptops that are not the best and most expensive, we will break it down for you what should you have at least from PC requirements.
The list is mostly combined out of games that will need some graphical power from your computer so it’s important to know that the best and mostly recommendable level of graphics you should have are some of Nvidia’s video cards that are not that much expensive and they come in some low-mid range PC’s. Some of those graphic cards are for example the
- GTX 1050
- GTX 1050TI
- GTX 1060
- GTX 1070
- GTX 1660
- GTX 1660
And etc. These graphic cards could be categorized in section of older video cards since Nvidia released the 3000’s series. But they are still the most popular cards among gamers today, thanks to their availability and price.
After the GPU, the second most important part is going to be the CPU which will and can be anything around the RYZEN 3000 or the I3 core CPU (they cost less than 100 dollars so they are pretty cheap). Even some of the AMD Athlon models are a great option (60 dollars) so you don’t need anything special when it comes to CPU’s to run the great titles.
Now we are going to talk about the RAM memory and storage options. The RAM memory is recommendable to be at least 4 GB’s but the most common sort when it comes to mid-range laptops and PCs will always be 8GB’s of RAM.
So, it will be more than enough for your gaming experience. When we talk about storage, for the newer titles and mid-high-end games, you will probably need at least 30-50 GBs per game. Since the games are a little bit demanding from every aspect and they are big, you will need a little bit more storage space for them, at least if you are planning to save them and not delete them after playing.
With all this said we are going to present you the list of the best mid-high games for lower PC specifications:
1. Metal Gear Solid V
Is a 2015 game developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami. It represents the ninth installment in the Metal Gear series that was directed, written, and designed by Hideo Kojima.
The story follows the players role of the Punished Venom Snake from a third-person perspective in a open world. The open world consists of a large map that is divided in two pieces (Afghanistan and Africa). Besides the large and immersive map this game has to offer. The
Gameplay elements are largely unchanged from Ground Zeroes, meaning that players must sneak from several points in the game world, avoiding enemy guards, and remaining undetected. Included in Snake’s repertoire are binoculars, a variety of weapons, explosives, and stealth-based items such as cardboard boxes and decoys. Following one of the series traditions, The Phantom Pain encourages players to progress through the game without killing, using non-lethal weapons such as tranquilizer darts to subdue enemies.
Players may traverse the game world with vehicles such as jeeps and tanks, in addition to traveling on foot or on horseback, and as certain locations are mountainous, occasionally, players can opt to go rock climbing as a shortcut. They may call for helicopter support against enemy soldiers or request airstrikes that can bomb the target area or change the current weather.
Snake can call on AI companions—including Quiet, a silent female sniper with supernatural abilities; D-Horse, a horse capable of wearing armor and hiding Snake during travel; D-Walker, a manned, highly agile mobile weapons platform that can provide heavy weapons support; and D-Dog, a wolf pup raised and trained on the new Mother Base to assist him in the field. The companions’ abilities and their effectiveness depend on the player’s relationship with them. There is a large emphasis on tactics in The Phantom Pain.
2. Far Cry 4
Coming as our second pick on the list. The 2014 first-person shooter game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the successor to the 2012 video game Far Cry 3, and the fourth main installment in the Far Cry series.
The story takes place in the fictional Himalayan country of Kyrat. The player find himself in the role of the young Ajay Ghale, after coming from America to fulfil his mother’s dying wish, he gets caught in a civil war between Kyrat’s Royal Army, controlled by tyrannical king Pagan Min, and a rebel movement called the Golden Path.
This title is a first-person action-adventure game. The players can use various short, and long-range weapons, some of them including pistols, revolvers, shotguns, assault rifles, bows, flamethrowers and rocket launchers and much more. The weapons can be used in a chaotic manner or you can approach the mission with stealth and use silencers.
You are exploring and adventuring throughout a big open world map. The map besides being large and immersive is one of the most beautiful designed maps in games ever. You can meet all the various animals that inhabit this ecosystem (from tigers to elephants). The player can explore the map that is full of forests, rivers and mountains. To allow players to travel between places faster, the game features various vehicles, including buggies, trucks, and water vehicles like speedboats.
Players can drive and shoot at the same time, and can enable auto-drive. The map is progressively opened by liberating bell towers, freeing them from Pagan Min’s influence and allowing the Golden Path to expand. These towers help players reveal new areas and mark new locations of interest on the map.
The world is scattered with outposts controlled by Pagan Min, which can be infiltrated by players. Four larger outposts, or fortresses, can also be found, and feature stronger defenses and more difficult combinations of enemies. Like its predecessors, the game features some role-playing elements. Players can earn experience points by completing missions and defeating enemies, and these experience points can then be spent on performance boosts and upgrades.
There are two sets of abilities for players to choose from, called The Tiger and The Elephant. The Tiger upgrades mainly improve players’ offensive abilities, while The Elephant upgrades improve players’ defensive skills. A variety of random events and hostile encounters take place throughout the game to make it immersive and interesting.
3. Far Cry 5
The third pick on our list is the successor to Far Cry 4, also developed by Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Toronto and published by Ubisoft.
This also open world installment takes place in a fictional region of Montana-United States, the game revolves around the Project at Eden’s Gate, a doomsday cult that has taken over the county at the command of its charismatic and powerful leader, Joseph Seed.
Like its predecessors the Far Cry 5 installment is an action first-person shooter set in an open world which players can explore freely. The player can use a variety of ranged and explosive weapons to fight against enemies (guns, assault rifles, grenades and similar). They are also given with a wide range of melee weapons.
This game unlike the predecessor does not how tower installed for map exploring. That means you can travel with any mean of transport and explore the map without unlocking towers to clear the map. There are many outposts on the map that you will need to liberate so you can get various weapon attachments and upgrades.
The game also features a recruitment system in which the player can recruit locals in the county to fight alongside them similar to the “Buddy” system used in Far Cry 2 or the “Guns for Hire” system in Far Cry 4. In this Guns for Hire system, the player can recruit locals to join their cause at which point they will fight alongside the player. Besides all the mentioned things above the game also gives you the possibility by completing actions within a region to gain points (Resistance points) that when cumulated can trigger major story events.
4. Days Gone
Days Gone is a 2019 action-adventure video game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is set in post-apocalyptic Oregon two years after the start of a pandemic.

It is played from a third-person perspective in which the player can explore an large open world environment.
Players can use firearms, melee weapons and improvised weapons, and can use stealth to defend themselves against hostile humans and cannibalistic creatures known as freakers. A major game mechanic is Deacon’s motorcycle, which is used as the player character’s main mode of transportation and mobile inventory. As players explore the world, they must collect valuable resources and components for crafting weapons and supplies.
In addition to the main quests, the game has a number of side objectives, which include clearing Freaker nests, rescuing hostages, clearing enemy camps, capturing bounty targets, and restoring power to NERO (National Emergency Response Organization) checkpoints. Inside those NERO checkpoints, players can use NERO injectors to boost Deacon’s health and stamina. Players can complete objectives in multiple ways, such as by using stealth tactics to distract enemies or silently kill them from behind using a combat knife.
Different weapons have different statistics and higher-tier weapons are generally more powerful. Purchased weapons can be stored in a gun locker, though weapons that are picked up in the field cannot be put into storage. Players can also use explosives such as proximity mines and grenades, and may craft molotov cocktails to defeat enemies. Melee weapons can be used but they will break if not repaired regularly.
5. GTA V
The game can be played from a first person or third person perspective. Players complete missions to progress through the story. You are given various small attacks, firearms and explosives to fight enemies. Players are taken to hospitals when they die, and if they commit crimes, law enforcement agencies will respond(depending from the crime level different agencies will respond).
The single player mode allows players to control three characters: Michael De Santa, Trevor Phillips and Franklin Clinton, these are criminals whose stories are interconnected as they complete missions. Some missions are completed with only one character, while others have two or three people. Each character has a total of eight skills that represent their abilities in certain areas such as shooting and driving.
Although the skills are improved through the game, each character has a skill with expertise. The eighth “special” skill determines the efficiency in performing abilities that is unique to each corresponding character. Michael enters the fight , Franklin slows down while driving, and Trevor inflicts twice as much damage on the enemy, taking half his life. Although roaming is free in the game world, players can engage in specific context-related activities.
