1. Phantasy Star Online 2

Phantasy Star Online 2 allows players to choose from a variety of servers (known as “Ships”) that they wish to play on. The game allows players to create and customize characters for use in the game. During the creation of a character, players can customize their character’s name, gender, race and character class. Later, they can purchase accessories and aesthetic goods that will further personalize their character. The game features a variety of races, including Human, Newman (bioengineered humanoid-elves), CAST, and Deuman. These are available for customization during character creation. Later, the player can purchase accessories and aesthetic goods to further customize their characters.

Elder Scrolls Online

Elder Scrolls Online (ESO), is set in Tamriel during the Second Era. However, not all locations within Tamriel can be played. The structure of the game is similar to Skyrim’s, with two distinct conflicts progressing simultaneously, one where the fate and power of Tamriel is in balance.

Elder Scrolls Online’s Gameplay is largely non-linear. There are a variety of quests, random events and free roaming explorations of the world. Although it does not offer single-player offline play, the developers promised that there would be plenty of content for solo online play.

2. Tera

TERA has the typical MMORPG features like crafting, questing, and player versus person action. Combat is handled by a real-time battle system with third-person camera views. The “Non-Target Battle System” is the name of the game’s combat system. Instead of clicking on or tabbing individual opponents, the player targets them with a crosshair cursor. Players must actively avoid enemy attacks. You can control your character using a keyboard, mouse, or a control pad.

Characters can be any of seven races that are allied to the Valkyon Federation. Each race has its own set of “racial skills”, which gives them minor advantages. Each race has its own animations that are specific to their class. TERA has thirteen classes each with its own abilities and attributes.

3. Black Desert Online

Black Desert Online

Black Desert Online (BDO) is set in high fantasy and centers around the conflict between two rival countries, the Republic Calpheon (or the Kingdom of Valencia). Calpheon tends to be materialistic, while Valencia is spiritual.

Black Desert Online combat is action-based. It requires manual aim and free movement, similar to third-person shooters. You can also trade, farm, fish, and even build your own houses. There are also large player-versus-player siege events and castle battles. It is highly regarded for its in-depth and advanced character customization.

The four main areas of Calpheon Serendia Balenos and Calpheon were peaceful long ago. All that changed was when the Black Death spread via merchants from Valencia in the area east of Mediah, which controlled trading. The plague claimed the lives of many people around the globe. Others were expelled by the black plague, which caused paranoia. The three main areas formed an alliance, and a war lasted 30 years. Mediah made the biggest profits by trading black stones with the other side.

4. DC Universe Online

DC Universe Online allows players to create a unique character and interact with DC Comics’ iconic heroes and villains. The player can choose the faction of their character (Hero or Villain), gender, height, stature, size, strength, personality, and more.

In addition there are a ton of customizations to be made. Some of them include heir movement mode, weapon, power, many hair, skin and costume.  To speed up the creation of characters, pre-built templates are available, which were inspired by key DC characters.

After the character is named, the player is thrown into DC Universe Online. The first experience involves escaping from a Brainiac spaceship. This tutorial will teach basic movements and skills, counter mechanics, as well as how to use power and skill points. The player’s character becomes an official member of The Justice League (heroes), or The Society (villains), and can continue their quest to improve their skill in different content.

The world is largely a shared and public space. The public space features dynamically-generated content designed for both hero and villain player characters to progress and fight alongside and against a multitude of iconic DC Comics characters, moving forward with stories, many of which are brought forth from the pages of DC comics.

5. Bless Unleashed

The Hero of Lumios awakens on the neutral island Telarion after a dream sequence against the Archon of Fire in Bless Unleashed. It is a warm and cultural place that hosts festivals and trade and provides refuge for those fleeing war-time horrors. 

A lighthouse, which is unguarded but always lit, guides them. Every year, thousands of tourists travel from all around the globe to witness the grand festival. It marks the anniversary of the construction of the lighthouse. Gideon, a powerful mage who summons hellspawn to assist in the invasion of the island’s inhabitants, attacks the island during this year’s celebrations. 

The Hero of Lumios has defeated a few of these creatures and narrowly escapes when Don Diego, their new ally, comes in and grabs them with his Griffin. This begins the treacherous journey to defeat Gideon’s minions and stop the Breaking from ever happening again.

6. Star Trek Online

Star Trek Online, a massively multiplayer online game of role-playing (MMORPG), was developed by Cryptic Studios and based on Star Trek. The game takes place in the 25th Century, 30 years after Star Trek: Nemesis.

Star Trek Online allows players to play as captains of their ship. You can play as a starship and control its engineering, tactical, or science systems via keyboard/mouse, or an on-screen console. Players can also “beam-down” to move as a player character, accessing weapons and combat skills specific to their classes.

Both combat systems are intertwined throughout: away-team missions feature quick-paced “run and gun” combat while space combat emphasizes the long-term tactical aspect combat between capital ships.

Both are presented in conjunction with Star Trek’s storyline. They emphasize ship positioning to effectively use shields during space combat as well as player’s away team positioning in consideration flanking damage and finding weaknesses to exploit during ground fighting.

7. Neverwinter

Neverwinter is set in the aftermath of the disappearance of Lord Neverwinter. The aftermath of the Spellplague, a Primordial Fire Elemental almost destroying Neverwinter (as seen in Gauntlgrym), the remaining citizens form factions to fight for control over the population as the dead rise up and attack the city they once called home.

The player is trying to find out the identity of the Sect Crown of Neverwinter, skeletons, and other mysterious groups. These locations are based upon the novels Gauntlgrym and Neverwinter.

You can also create new locations, which may or may not be in line with the lore that is used to make the rest of the game. These content are clearly identified so that users are not confused. They are also informed if they are playing official or user-generated content.

You can choose from eight Dungeons & Dragons characters and create groups of up to five players characters (PCs) in Neverwinter. Neverwinter was initially based on the modified Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition rules set. This allows players to use healing powers and action point. The latter is done through a system called dailies. Players can gain special abilities by accumulating enough combat action points.

Warframe

Warframe lets players play as members of the Tenno, an ancient race of warriors that have been suspended from time for centuries and are now at war with other factions in the planetary system. To complete their missions, the Tenno use their Warframes powered with various weapons and abilities. While many of the game’s missions use procedurally-generated levels, newer updates have included large open world areas similar to other massively multiplayer online games as well as some story-specific missions with fixed level design.

To allow players to improve their Tenno, the game features elements such as shooting, melee, parkour and role-playing. It includes both player-versus-environment and player-versus-player elements. Microtransactions allow players to purchase in-game items with real money. However, they also offer the possibility of earning them free through grinding.

8. Elite: Dangerous

Frontier Developments published Elite Dangerous, a MMORPG space flight simulation game. The player assumes the role of a pilot (commonly referred to by “Commander” and “CMDR”) on a spaceship. They explore a realistic, 1:1 scale, open-world representation the Milky Way galaxy. There is no set gameplay. This is the first game in the series to offer massively multiplayer gameplay. Players’ actions have an impact on the story of the persistent universe. However, the game also retains a single-player mode. Elite Dangerous, the fourth installment in the Elite videogame series, is one of the longest-running videogame franchises. It is the sequel of Frontier: First Encounters which was released in 1995.
