T1 and Royal Never Give Up are expected to go undefeated in the group stage and will be the favorites for the MSI 2022, considering their phenomenal season performance. G2 can also trouble them in the knockout stage. It looks like the remaining teams will try to make their way to the rumbling stage by stealing matches from each other.
Top two teams from each group will qualify for the rumbling stage. It will be quite important not to let any surprise result because matches will be bo1 in the group stage. Participating teams will not have a chance to make up for their mistakes. Six teams will compete in the rumbling stage, where only top four teams will advance to the knockout stage. Matches also will be bo1 in the rumbling stage. So every match they play will be vital for them. Pure action will return in the knockout stage. Matches will be bo5 in the semifinals and the grand finals of the tournament.
MSI 2022 is set to begin on May 10 with group stage matches. The tournament will be held in Busan, South Korea, and as we reported earlier, Royal Never Give Up will not be able to participate due to travel restrictions.
