ESL Pro League Season 15: NIP and ENCE advance to the semifinals

| | , ,

The first two teams to compete in the semifinals of ESL Pro League Season 15 have been determined after Ninjas in Pyjamas took down Team Liquid in three-game intense series. NIP will meet ENCE, who eliminated Movistar Riders, one of the season’s most dominant teams, in the semifinals. The remaining two quarterfinal series between NAVI-FaZe, and FURIA-Astralis will kick off in a few hours.

ENCE and NIP will battle it out in the semifinals to take the next step for the title. After completing group B in second place ahead of FaZe Clan, ENCE decimated Fnatic in the first round of the playoffs with two convincing wins on Overpass and Nuke and matched Movistar Riders, who finished the group stage undefeated, in the quarterfinals.

Movistar Riders started the series by winning on their opponent’s map, Mirage. However, the remaining two matches were as different as night and day compared to the first match. ENCE swept Movistar with a demoralizing 16-2 score on Vertigo and turned the momentum towards themselves. In the decider match, it was all Snappi. His outstanding Nuke performance brought ENCE a semi-final ticket. Snappi closed out the series with a scoreline of 54/17/41, and there was only one player who got more kills than him, his Serbian teammate, Pavle “Maden” Boskovic. With over 60 kills, Maden led his team to victory.

ENCE will face off against NIP on April 9 to continue their miracle run. On the other side of the bracket, there will be a rematch between NAVI and FaZe. S1mple will seek revenge against their closest rival, while FaZe will try to make 2 out of 2 after reaching the title at IEM Katowice 2022. You can watch all the playoff series from the official ESL Twitch channel.
