Today, The Sandbox, a leading virtual gaming world that is decentralized and a subsidiary Animoca Brands, announced it had partnered with SQUARE ENIX to bring Dungeon Siege to The Sandbox gaming Metaverse. There are two parts to the collaboration. The first part will provide a Dungeon Siege Land on Square Enix’s estate, with interactive RPG experiences players can use while learning best practices to construct Dungeon Siege adventures.
The second will make Dungeon Siege’s voxel characters available for creators and players to use in their unique experiences with The Sandbox’s #nocode Game Maker and VoxEdit tools.

Dungeon Siege, an RPG franchise that has won numerous awards, is set in Ehb, a medieval kingdom. Over 1.7M copies have been sold. The series follows a young farmer with his companions on their journey to defeat an invading army. It has inspired multiple sequels. The game was also popular in the modding community. This made it an ideal fit for The Sandbox, where creators and players can create experiences on their LANDS with both licensed and original content.
Real Estate and Amusement Parks
The Sandbox is a mix of virtual real estate and amusement parks. It embraces the concept of the metaverse, a shared digital space in which worlds and heroes come together to create magic. Square Enix’s Dungeon Siege joins more than 200 existing partnerships, including Warner Music Group and Ubisoft.
