Marvel Studios’ Loki Gets a Premiere Date

| | ,

The Disney+ series starring Tom Hiddleston as Loki finally gets a premiere date. After being initially projected for May 2021, Loki will premiere on June 11th on Disney’s streaming platform.

With Owen Wilson and Sophia Di Martino also cast for this new entry in the MCU’s Phase 4, Loki will follow the ventures of the God of Mischief, following the events of Avengers: Endgame

The show will be directed by Kate Herron, which you might know from directing 4 episodes of Netflix’s hit series Sex Education.

In a trailer released during Disney’s 2020 Investor Day, we got some insight into what this series will be about. Despite being dead in the main MCU timeline, Loki is able to create a branch reality using the Tesseract. This gets the attention of the TVA, the Time Variance Authority, an agency that monitors every timeline. Owen Wilson, who is portraying a TVA agent, is seen arresting Loki in the trailer.

After the ongoing success of WandaVision and the looming premiere of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it is safe to say that Marvel’s Phase 4 is starting to gain some serious traction.

What about you? What are your opinions on this new series? Are you excited about what the future holds for the MCU? Let us know!
