Developer and Publisher COWCAT has announced that BROK the InvestiGator will launch for PC via Steam and GOG on August 26th, followed by Xbox One, Xbox Series S-X, PS4, PS5, and Switch this winter. However, the exact release date for consoles has yet to be announced.
The announcement was made via Steam, where players can now add the game to their wishlist to get notified when it full launches. According to its store page, BROK the InvestiGator supports remote play on TV and cloud saving technologies. Additionally, players can download the free proleague to have an idea of what to expect from the full version of the game. It was released back in December 2020 so expect to see remarkable changes in the original game. “6 long years of hard work coming to fruition…BROK the InvestiGator will release August 26th on Steam and GOG!” reads the announcement.
BROK the InvestiGator is a point & click, adventure game that has players taking the role of an alligator named BROK, a former detective and boxer who lives with his son. According to the development team, the game will have an emotinal story build on the releationship between son and father. Players will also affect the course of the story by their choices as they will try to survive in a dystopian world where animals have replaced humans and air pollution has imprisoned everyone underground.
The developer team aims to blend RPG elements with a deep, linear story and beat’em up style in order to deliver a never-before-seen adventure experience. Players will solve puzzles and follow up clues to reveal hidden secrets. There will be two playable characters that players will be able to switch when they want. As for the action and combat, a wide array of enemies and bosses will be waiting for you to rip your head off but players can skip fights on easy mode to focus on its immersive story. Last but not least, BROK the InvestiGator will reportedly offer multiple endings and a 15-20 hours investigating experience on first playthrough.
Developed by COWCAT, a French-based independent studio which has another point&click adventure game titled Dementrios on its portfolio, BROK the InvestiGator releases for PC via Steam and GOG on August 26th, coming to consoles later this year.
