Fall Guys for Xbox and Nintendo Switch Delayed Again

| | , , ,

In an updated Xbox Wire post, developer Mediatonic announced Fall Guys for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox will not launch this year. Instead, the game will launch sometime in 2022.

We know everyone’s excited about Fall Guys coming to Nintendo Switch and Xbox, with good reason. There’s been a lot of speculation on social media connecting these new console releases to the Season 6 launch, and we want to clarify that that’s not the case so no one’s left confused looking for the game on these platforms.

Thank you for being patient with us, it’s one of our top priorities in active development and we can’t wait to share more details with you in 2022.

Mediatonic did not provide a reason for the delay. However, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has led to numerous game delays. These included Halo Infinite, The Last of Us Part 2, and other larger titles.

As for Fall Guys, the Switch and Xbox ports were originally set for a summer 2021 launch. Mediatonic delayed the ports to late 2021, with the game now delayed a second time.

That said, PlayStation and PC players can enjoy Fall Guys right now. Better yet, the game’s Season 6 started today. It includes new levels and obstacles, along with cross-platform progression.

Also, there’s no word on whether we will see a Western release of Fall Guys for Android and iOS. The mobile version was in pre-alpha over the summer, but it’s only available in China.
