There’s a Gucci Series X, and You Probably Can’t Afford It

We’re talking five figures, folks

Earlier today, Microsoft and fashion brand Gucci announced they teamed up to make a Gucci-themed Xbox Series X console.

Design-wise, the console screams Gucci. For better or worse, the Series X is decked out in GG patterns. Gucci said the pattern represents Guccio Gucci’s initials and the phrase “Good Game.”

Otherwise, the console is the same as the standard version. That means 1TB of internal storage and the same monolithic design reminiscent of the alien monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

The console comes with two customized Xbox Wireless Controllers. These controllers are mostly black, save for the blue and red stripes on the left side.

The hardware comes inside of an Xbox-branded carrying case. Visually, it’s reminiscent of vintage luggage, with the colorway ensuring some eyeballs will drift your way.

Lastly, an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription is included. It’s unknown for how long the subscription is available for.

All of this comes at a hefty price, however — $10,000. For comparison, the Series X costs $499.99 and an Xbox Wireless Controller costs $59.99.

In addition to the high price, the other limiting factor is availability. Gucci and Microsoft are only making 100 of these limited-edition Series X consoles.

If you’re okay giving up a down payment for a house, you can grab it starting November 17. You can buy the console on Gucci’s website and in select Gucci stores.
