Many times, the vehicles in a film and movie can say a lot about the setting of a story as well as the characters driving them. Jeep is a car brand that has had many iconic models over the years and several that have made appearances on both the big and small screens. Here is a list of the most recognizable Jeeps from TV and film that you may or may not have missed while watching.
Jurassic Park
Easily the most recognizable Jeep from TV and film is the one featured in Stephen Spielberg’s Jurassic Park. In the 1993 blockbuster, a Jeep Wrangler YJ Sahara roams around the park, escaping from dinosaurs with one of the coolest paint jobs you could ask for. The model even made a return as a fossil itself decades later in the franchise’s revival, Jurassic World.
Furious 7
The Fast and Furious franchise has had no shortage of seminal vehicles across its installments, and one of them comes from Jeep. In Furious 7, you can spot an armored Jeep Wrangler JK. While it isn’t uncommon for a Jeep Wrangler to feature some modifications, the model in the film is unlike any you’ve seen before.
Breaking Bad
Many consider Breaking Bad as one of the greatest TV shows of all time. When it comes to recognizable vehicles on the show, many tend to think of the RV, Jesse Pinkman’s 1982 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, or the El Camino featured in the recently released film on Netflix. However, there are also plenty of Jeep vehicles in the show, such as the 1991 Grand Wagoneer that Skyler drives or the Commander DEA that Hank Schrader takes around Albuquerque.
The Walking Dead
The studio recently announced that The Walking Dead will be coming to an end with season 11, but that doesn’t take away from all that has happened in the zombie apocalypse world, such as the vehicles featured in the series. Jeep vehicles are among the most popular, so it’s no surprise that there would be plenty of them lying around in a world full of walkers. The show features various Jeep Wranglers and Cherokees from the past and modern times.
Back to the Future
Back to the Future is best known for the DeLorean, but while the series might take place across many different time periods, the filmmakers managed to find a way to get a couple of Jeep vehicles in the movie. At one point in the film, Marty is skateboarding and grabs onto the back of a CJ-7 during the 80s portion. We also get to see a futuristic Wrangler YJ model that can fly, but unfortunately, that didn’t become a reality in 2015.
