How to Craft your Own Progression Gear in Path of Exile

| | , ,

If you have been looking for ways to deal with enemies knocking you around, and have noticed that you aren’t able to deal that much damage to them in return, then it might well not be your character level that is the issue. This is often a common misconception made by players, who believe that they might not be a high enough level, and that’s why they are receiving so much damage and not inflicting enough back on enemies. More often than not, you need to look into using your PoE currency and what PoE items you have in order to improve your gear. Making the adjustments also require you to rearrange your PoE Orbs to make the most out of them.

Using Vendor Recipes

So, if you are looking into improving your gear, then firstly you will want to check out some vendor recipes. You will need to know certain recipes to make the most out of PoE crafting. For example, you can get a Scroll Fragment, Transmutation Shard, and Alteration Shard by selling a white, blue, and identified magic item respectively. Armourer’s Scrap will also be useful, which can be acquired from selling armor items, as long as the combined quality is 40%. Finally, selling three PoE items that have the same base type will net you the PoE Orb of Alchemy.

Using these recipes can make a Scroll of Wisdom, which can help you identify items. You can then use your newly acquired Orb of Transmutation and Orb of Alteration to make magic items and reroll magic item mods respectively. The Orb of Alchemy is one of the more efficient PoE orbs, as it can turn a normal item into a rare item.

One thing that all new and old Path of Exile players alike will have noticed is the sheer abundance of PoE items that you can end up collecting when making your way through the game. With that in mind, you should be as mindful as possible when it comes to what items you are picking up. The best method is to make sure that you are collecting those that are relevant to your build, and you should sell those that you won’t need. Those that you aren’t using can be sold using vendor recipes, and you should make sure that you do the same with armour.

You may come across an item that you will be able to turn into a better item with crafting. If that’s the case, then try using the Armourer’s Scraps, since you can get a higher quality depending on the rarity. Then, of course, you have the PoE Orb of Transmutation to make it into a magic item, and can then modify it with the Orbs of Alteration.

If you do choose to take this method, then make sure that you focus on upgrading weapons and your armour. If you are wanting to improve your defense and your attack output, then this is the obvious path to take. Now that you have a method of making rare PoE items, you don’t need to worry too much about farming rarities when making your way through the game. It can be a tedious method at times, not to mention time-consuming. But it is definitely worth sticking with, especially until you start looking into PoE Unique items.

Before you do that, stay with the current method of crafting and you should be able to shake off the issues that you are having with enemies. It can be a confusing time when starting out in PoE, especially when trying to figure out just why you are struggling to progress past your opponent so much. Fear not, however, improving your gear can make substantial differences. Don’t get too hung up on your player level, and get PoE crafting those new upgrades to make you a formidable force in the world of Path of Exile.
