Our First Good Look at the Upcoming Respawn Entertainment Star Wars Game

Kicking off this year’s EA play event was the first gameplay trailer for the much anticipated Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from Respawn Entertainment.

The gameplay demo takes place in the early hours of the game and follows the story of the main protagonist Cal Kestis, a Jedi Padawan on a quest to rebuild the Jedi order after the events of Revenge of the Sith.

During the trailer we get to see Cal and his cute droid BD-1 take on stormtroopers, droids and alien creatures on their mission to free the enslaved Wookies of Kashyyyk. The trailer even features a scene with what appears to be Forest Whitaker reprising his role as Saw Gerrera from the 2016 film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

From a gameplay perspective, the title seems to be a single player action adventure game in the vein of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series except it’s set in the rich world of Star Wars and seems to rely heavily on lightsaber combat rather than gunplay.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be released a bit later this year on November 15th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
