Amazon announced its last 2022 wave of free games for Prime Gaming members. Starting December 1, gamers can claim the following titles:
- Quake
- Rose Riddle 2: Werewolf Shadow
- The Amazing American Circus
- Banners of Ruin
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
- Spinch
- Desert Child
- Doors: Paradox
Quake
The original Quake shooter is a highly influential and significant part of the PC gaming culture. The first game in the Quake series was released in 1996 and was a pioneer in the FPS genre, helping to popularize it and solidify its place in the gaming landscape.
Quake was known for its fast-paced action, intense multiplayer competition, and cutting-edge graphics (mind you, it was the late 90s). The series has had a massive impact on the gaming community, spawning a dedicated and passionate fan base that continues to this day.
The game was also significant for its contributions to the modding community, with many popular mods and custom maps being created for the games.
That said, Quake is this list’s most dated yet historic gaming title. True fans of the FPS space need to own this one in their library.
