1 . Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Calling all Pikachu fans, you’re in for a real treat in 2022. Rumour has it that Pokémon Legends: Arceus is set to be released by Jan 28. The game takes place in the region of Hisui where humans sustain themselves off the land, and Poké Balls are still crafted from wood. Apparently, ‘Some Pokémon have Hisuian forms that can be found only in the Hisui region. These Pokémon’s Hisuian forms each have unique characteristics,’ (Pokemon Legends, 2021). Players will get to explore Mount Coronet, and the Obsidian Fieldlands, an area of rich vegetation and forests. Plenty of epic Pokemon adventures await!

2. Gotham Knights

Gotham Knights will delight all Batman fans. It has a role-playing vibe, and is super action-packed. So what do we know so far? Well, Gotham Knights is set to be a game that explores the origins of the whole Wayne family. There aren’t many more details floating around yet, but we do know it’s going to be intense! The game is going to be released on Xbox, PS5, PS4, and Microsoft Windows. We can expect to see this game out around the beginning of 2022. With Batman gone it’s time for the family to protect the streets. The central characters are Robin, Red Hood, Batgirl, and Nightwing.

3. Forspoken

Everyone’s getting hyped about the release of Forspoken. You’ll play as Frey Holland, a young woman who finds herself in the magical lands of Athia, transported from NYC. Throughout her journey in Athia Frey must navigate her newfound magical powers, to make her way back home. Expect a fast paced game with bags of speed and heaps of style. According to Tech Radar, ‘Players will be able to use magic to directly attack enemies or set traps for them as well as perform “magic parkour”, covering huge distances over Athia.’ Players can expect easy controls, so the game is suitable for veteran gamers and newcomers alike.

4. BattleField 2042

Battlefield 2042 invites us to return to the heart of warfare where players can dive into epic battle grounds, with the skills of their squad. The premise is that a war is taking place between Russia and the US, yet underneath the surface, there are other forces in conflict. According to the game’s creators, ‘Journalist Mitahli Reed uncovers leaked audio from a battle in the German town of Görlitz, sitting on the Polish border. In a shocking exposé, she reveals things are not all they seem among the hazard zones,’ ( BattleField 2021).
