Stranded Deep Console Edition is Coming Soon

| | , , ,

Survival game Stranded Deep is hoping to release its console edition onto PlayStation 4 and Xbox One at the end of March or some time at the beginning of April. The game has been available on PC in Early Access for many years now. However, the console edition is a very different story and has been fighting the tide.

Stranded Deep console edition was originally intended all the way back in October of 2018. Unfortunately, the title was going to be published by Telltale Games Publishing label. However, due to the majority studio closure of Telltale Games, the future of the title became uncertain. It then endured another delay. As the title was then registered on PlayStation and Xbox systems by an old publisher. This then left the developers, Beam Team Games, working on getting it back transferred to them. However, the title looks like it might be finally swimming to shores.

The Update

Beam Team Games, the Australian developers for Stranded Deep have released an official statement on their twitter regarding their console edition.

In this update they state:
“As of today, the console release is tentatively planned for the end of March; which could honestly push back a few weeks into the beginning of April.”

So even though the title still doesn’t have a definite release date at this time, hopefully, gamers won’t have to wait much longer. They also go into further details that the game will be self-published by themselves alongside North Beach Games. The update also tells players that they’ve re-released the console trailer.

This upcoming title is a survival game that drops you into the Pacific Ocean. After an airplane crash where it appears you’re the sole survivor of the crash. After securing a life raft and paddling to a nearby island it’s time to collect resources, craft items and manage your vitals to survive against the natural elements. Along with the end goal of eventually escaping.

Stranded Deep is coming soon to PlayStation 4 and Xbox-One.
